Greater Dane County Talented and Gifted Network committees work to advance work on issues related to gifted education in the greater Dane County area and the state of Wisconsin. Members form committees as needed to accomplish tasks for the membership. Some are short term committees and others are standing committees.

RtI - Indentification and Services Committee

Committee Members:

This group was formed with the intent to define what it means to identify gifted and talented children in the state of wisconsin. The group's collaboration developed the Resource Guide that DPI has endorsed and sent to all public schools in Wisconsin. This committee forms and meets as the needed by the membership.

Admn./Awards Breakfast Function Group

Committee Members: Barb Hoeft & Amy Miller, Krisy Johannes, Sharon Daly

In alternate years the organization hosts an Awards Breakfast and an Administrators Breakfast. At the Awards Breakfast, Districts gather to honor those who have made significant contributions to the field of gifted education. Pictured at the right are the 2008-2009 honorees.

The Adminisgtrators Breakfast, which will again be held in February of 2010, district administrators participate in round table discussions with students to learn about the gifted education perspectives of the students from a variety of districts.
