Submissions

Teachers should encourage students to write haiku poems.  Dr. Clasen does not limit the number of poems a student may enter, but teachers may help students choose their "best" one(s).  District TAG Coordinators should consolidate entries and then mail them by February 1st to Dr. Clasen.

It is helpful, but not required, for submissions to be typed. If the student does not put a title on the haiku, Dr. Clasen adds one. Most important is that the student's name be clearly printed or typed on the same page.

 Use the following format:

Student Name

School, City

District

Coordinators

Poems should be mailed to:

Professor Emeritus Robert Clasen (Bob)

5854 Timber Ridge Trail

Fitchburg, WI 53711

A teacher or TAG facilitator contact name and phone number for each group of submissions is helpful. Occasionally, Dr, Clasen likes to ask a question or make a suggestion.

Winners

Winners are announced in March.  A booklet containing winning haikus is published and distributed to student winners and participating districts.

Winning authors and are invited to attend an event to honor them.

HAPPY HAIKU-ING !
